Blog Post 3

Hello folks, I hope all of you are well, and that work has been rewarding. I have been enjoying work and realized the other day there isn't all that much of it left.  Before long we'll be back in school, and although I'll be happy to see everyone again, I know I will look back and remember everything I said I was going to do but never did. So I implore everyone to go and do whatever it is you have been promising yourself that you would.

Recently, work has been made up almost entirely of construction documents, spread across a few different projects. I have been enjoying being a part of the process in creating, compiling, and refining details, and getting to ask questions about construction processes and methodology.  I find this part of the project very fun, with construction details honestly being something I look forward to doing.  Recently, there was talks about constructing small parts of an upcoming project in office, in order to verify what we are detailing. This is partly because the project is using a unique precast concrete module to make up a part of a retaining wall, and this is not something anyone has much experience with, so it's been fun being part of a team that's learning on the run a bit.

Also, as Carbo labs continues to take shape, many from the office have been taking time to weed the beds, including me. I love that the office has been doing this, and it's been great to get some time working in a garden and be hands on with plants.

In other news, I went back to Maryann Brown recently, and it was nice.

Also went to the Festival International in Lafayette, which I had never been to. Had a good time walking around to the different booths and trying the food.
