OJB (Solana Beach) - Greg Crawford #3

Hey everyone, I am absolutely enjoying looking at the posts and the different experiences y'all are getting. The past couple of weeks have been good. After doing a lot of 3d modeling, I have kind of transitioned into doing CAD. I have been working in construction, planting and soil bases for design development packages to get those sent out. I am really getting to know the capabilities of Land F/X which is really been a good experience. Yes, we used it for school, but getting a lot of practice with it really helps a bunch. Next week I will probably be moving into details for a resort project, so I can use all of the skills we learned from Kathy's class. One thing I am kind of disappointed about is I haven't been on a site visit yet. I think in the next week or two I can finally get out to one of the sites. They have a really cool project going on in downtown that is currently being built so I'm hopeful to go there.

Outside of work I have really gotten to know my way around and explore a lot. Many hikes and beach walks by myself or with some friends from the office. I also recently went camping in Anza Borrego Desert, which was spectacular. I had no service for like 24 hours, and I have never experienced that before, but my freinds and I had a super good time. Lots of offroading and hikes through several different canyons. At night I think it was probably the most stars I've ever seen. Nothing like the West Coast stars. After the camping trip my mom came out to visit me. We went on some pretty cool hikes, with some very cool wildflowers, and the weather was awesome so we got to spend some time at the beach. I've been eating some super good seafood lately, and I invested in a grill so I could grill some fish at my apartment.

Hope everyone is enjoying their internships. Here are some photos from the past couple weeks.
