Carbo - Hunter Gueydan + Isa Periban
Hunter Gueydan-
Firstly, I am sorry for the delay on this post. I have a lot to put on this, and Isa will also be posting on this until she is able to post on her own.
| Carbo Crawfish Boil |
Since starting at Carbo I have had the opportunity to go on site visits, sit in on meetings, and of course work on interesting projects. One major road block early on was learning vectorworks, which I had never worked in. But after getting comfortable in it I find it preferable to CAD for most 2d drawings, and having the ability to work in three dimensional space in the same software instead of transferring to rhino is great. Me + Isa on a site visit
At Carbo I have been with the institutional studio, working under principal Zach Broussard and famed grading professor Hayden Hammons. During this time I have had the chance to work on projects for multiple universities and schools across the state, such as LSU, Southern, and UL.

I'll be sure to post more soon, but for now I'll hand it over to Isa. Y'all have a good one.
Isa Periban -
Hey guys! I miss y'all so much! I've been M.I.A not because of my own doing but since I never received an invite to the blog. I'm not sure if it was entirely Max's fault or some type of glitch with the invite but who cares lol! I'm just gonna leech onto Hunter's blog for some time I guess lol! ANywayyyssss It's been pretty great here at CARBO although it can be excruciatingly quiet at times lol (i just get really anxious when people can hear my every movement lol but ive gotten used to it lmao). The people here are great and so fun though! We go out to lunch every friday and at times have puzzle breaks (yall should definitely check out the magic puzzle company their puzzles are so freaking cuteee)! I've been to a couple of site visits to New Orleans and BTR; I was even able to go to a site visit by myself to Folia which is a project CARBO is working on that is literally 2 minutes from my house in Bossier!! SO CRAZY!! I have been working on many municipal projects so far! Amy has been so cool to work with! I've been working on an Inclusive Playground for a while and yall know me I was freaking having a blast with that! We've had planting days for CARBO labs and a crawfish boil to follow that! We played croquet, Hunter threw my frisbee to the neighbor's yard, and we ate a bunch of crawfish lol. I was also able to go to the Capitol for Landscape Architecture Advocacy day where they designated April as Landscape Architecture month in Louisiana! Big thing for us!!!! I've had a good time being here in btr and actually having time to do things and even being able to just take quick weekend trips with Nick to Houston, Home or NOLA! I've been going weekly to trivia night at Cheba hut with Christopher and Rose with other friends who have been able to make it here and there, Maya was actually able to come on moustache trivia night! I've also been able to go to Austin and Chattanooga for frisbee tournaments without having to worry about schoolwork whoop whoop which is a totally different experience!! Also saw The Lumineers like last week! So yeah, life has been great thankfully, just stressed about other life things but that's the norm! Also, I'll have a new roommate soon, Rose's baby!! Threw her a baby shower not too long ago! She's going to be induced on April 17th so yayyy!! Happy and super stressed!! Hope everyone has a great Easter and I'm so glad to see everyone having such a great time at their internships! Can't wait to see everyone again! Oh and I'll ask now but if yall can bring back a souvenir for me from wherever yall are at, can literally be a cool rock, that would be incredible! Love you guys!! (also realized I need to take more pics lol!)

No music?? Ya'll just listen to each other's chairs squeak? 🐁
