Carbo - Hunter Gueydan #2

Howdy Folks,

I hope all of you are doing well and enjoying your time on internship. Unfortunately, we are pretty much out of spring here in Baton Rouge and summer weather is creeping in. For all you in more temperate climates, please enjoy your cool weather for me.

Over the past weeks, I have gotten to both work on new projects, and carry older ones into new phases. For one project I have been getting to work in Illustrator, which has been fun after working almost solely in Vectorworks since I have gotten here. I also have been getting to work on the Campus Mounds project, specifically the demolition plan, which is very intricate due to the importance of protecting the mounds themselves, but needing to remove multiple foreign objects from on top of them (the currently fenced-off sidewalks and walls).

Also exciting, since Isa and I have started, Carbo has started some new landscape beds, in partnership with two different nurseries, in order to experiment with new plants and provide a trial for them. Two of the beds are planted with perennial plugs, and the other two are shrubs. I can't wait to watch their progress and hopefully get some hands-on experience with them, particularly the perennials, which I am trying to get better with.

That'll be it for now, yall have a good one.
