Happy Friday!
These posts have become somewhat of a ritual for me every other Friday. I honestly look forward to updating it with the most recent work I've been doing. I feel like I treat these as a progress report for myself; it's nice to wrap the past 2 weeks of work into a short summary and see how it's different from earlier posts. 😁
I've gotten into some really cool stuff lately! The first month and a half of my time here has been spent mostly on Rhino, Lumion, and a little bit of CAD. Nothing crazy, just drawing out/modeling design schemes for my supervisors to take a few seconds to look at lol. The past few weeks though I've been involved in more documentation and deliverable work! I'm happy that I'm being trusted with a bit more responsibility and I'm looking forward to learning more!
These are a few shade structure options Chandler had me model out for a site at UH.
I also worked on my first details just this week. I've mostly enjoyed the detail assignments at LSU with Kathy and Mark, even though they're a pain in the ass 🍑, so I was happy to work on some new things. The Texas offices only use bubble callouts for details, which was definitely odd to see at first. Kathy would be horrified.
My girlfriend came over for Spring Break! She stayed for about 5 days and explored Houston while I was at work. We got to meet up for lunch and made plans most nights, so I actually did things during the week besides work lol.
I told her to update me on what she found in Houston, and this is what I get 😂. That is a chopstick holder btw.
Welp now that she is gone, I will go back to being a hermit 🦀. See ya'll later!

Same, and idk about you but my ass broke after a nice gf visit.
