CLH Design - Jacob 2 (Cary)
Now that a few weeks have passed since the start of my internship, I've started to get settled into a routine at work. They've started to give me a more interesting range of assignments, including some sketches, some graphics for community meetings, and some data analysis. I've been taking a lot of time to practice drawing, which has been much easier since it's so quiet here.
We had a snowstorm a couple of weeks ago, and I made a little snowman cult based on a Calvin and Hobbes panel I saw. One of my neighbors walked by while I was making this in the dark and I think she was concerned. I had fun with it, though. It was one of my first big snows. I've also been getting to play around more with layering clothes and making cold-weather outfits.
I've also spent a good amount of time exploring town. The libraries I've seen have been a little disappointing (Baton Rouge's collection is better), but I've been able to digitally lend a lot of books from other places, so all's well that ends well I suppose. The landscaping around the libraries here is much better than ours, though. Downtown Cary park was right next to the library and I just stumbled upon it. It was a beautiful place, despite most of the trees being dead. I'm looking forward to seeing it in the summer.
the art and models are really cool
