Philip Moser Associates - Mason Phillips Week 1-4
Philip Moser Weeks 1-4
Mason P
Greetings all, I trust the internship grind is going well and is opening your professional eye.
Philip Moser has really enlightened me on the intricacies of design work in the field.
The first few weeks have certainly been eventful... and back breaking in a way I couldn't have foreseen. Until now I hadnt connected the dots on just how much work even the simplest projects take to complete.
I've helped build a variety of residential and commercial elements in my time here
To start the day,
everything has to be loaded and unloaded
The real magic starts when you pick up the Bluestone
and start getting the hang of spacial relationships...
and how heavy stone really is
Slowly adding more elements in order, efficiency is key!
Planting bet highlights the importance of their illuminated Oak
And in the back, the real magic of flagstone formed
We didn’t just stop at the ground plane
Everything is in the cards when it comes to design
Taking spot elevations with the Laser Lighthouse as they call it
(As seen below)
That alley looks awesome! I would love to hear about how you read the drawings out in the field, or if everyone pretty much has the idea of the build in their heads and it's not too necessary.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely just following orders so far! I have gotten to see a few of the drawings so far
