OJB (Houston) - Taylor - 3
Life these past two weeks have been really great here in Houston! Work is busy as usual; the guys around me have been swamped lately so it's been hard to get progress reviews of some of the stuff I've been working on. Regardless, I'm keeping up with my tasks pretty well, so I guess I'll jump straight into some stuff I've finished up. π
Farish Hall is being demolished in our Centennial Plaza project at UH (equivalent of the main library being torn down at LSU) to make way for a huge quad space for students. A little throw in task they asked of us was to use remnants of the demo and create a memorial bench for it. The pieces we're working with are an elevator wheel and the beam it attaches to.
Chandler gave me the assignment, but I had guidance from him and Andrew. Of course, when we finally found a design we liked and sent it over, they told us to remove the wheel π«€. It's literally just a bench now, nothing "memorial" about it, whatever. The last two are the latest designs where I tried to bring back some sort of activation and life to it. π€¬
This was a bench diagram presentation I put together. They really had me counting benches for an hour lol.At the beginning of the month Scott Blons, a principal over with the CA team, declared that my New Hire Hazing Presentation would focus on the CAMO Marksman Pro Tool π. It was so random and out of the blue but I decided to take it in stride and make a nice presentation for it. He gave me a pat on the back! π₯Ή
That wraps up the work! Here's some fun highlights lately
